Online placement (E-Volunteer)

Partner Location: Peru

Start Date: March 2024

Placement Length: 3 Months

Language Requirements: Spanish Level 5-Fluent

The E-Volunteer’s Role

Are you interested in using your creative digital marketing and Spanish skills to promote its social projects?

We are seeking someone to help market CBC's sustainable rural initiative that aims to benefit Quechua women. You will be responsible for positioning and branding Tupay, CBC's responsible tourism agency. This involves offering unique rural and community tourism experiences in the Cusco region, which will bring both economic and social benefits to the Quechua communities, with a focus on empowering women.

In this role, you will also play a crucial part in facilitating communication and integration among the different stakeholders involved in the project: CBC, the Tupay tourism agency, and the rural communities. The ultimate goal is to establish a three-way collaboration that adheres to international standards and a human rights-based approach.

As an e-volunteer, you will:

  • Train SME staff in business management, including market analysis and developing business plans.
  • Support and recruit target SMEs to achieve standards required by foreign investors.
  • Coach and mentor SIDO, TCCIA, EMMAC and TWCC staff to improve business support services.
  • Develop tools and training materials with SIDO, TCCIA, EMMAC and TWCC staff that can be used in their business development services.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Social Enterprise Development, or a related field of study.
  • Experience in graphic design

Essential Background:

  • 2-3 years experience devising marketing and communications strategies.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication abilities.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to handle pressure.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
About E-Volunteering

Cuso International’s e-volunteering program welcomes new and returning volunteers to work with our international program partners and volunteers remotely.
