Job Description Summary

We are rapidly expanding as a company while increasing our presence and deal portfolio in Peru. We are looking for a Credit Manager who can handle our growing client base in the region while maintaining our developed credit standards. The position requires skills in financial and credit analysis, process and operations management, and daily interaction with both our clients as well as our investment committee. This position has also has the potential to be an eventual team lead for our for ProducePay’s Credit team in Peru.

You’ll be working closely with a team based in both the United States and Mexico for this position.

Responsibilities amp; Duties:

  • This will be a dynamic position with lots of room for professional growth as we adapt many of our proprietary credit practices from other countries to the framework of Peruvian agriculture.
  • Conduct reviews on deals underwriting requests, covering background checks and document review and creation of financial tables and analyses
  • Various analyses on cash flow, yield sensitivity, liquidity and debt coverage as need on a deal to deal basis to evaluate the risk of potential deals
  • Review of commercial credit bureaus, loan documentation and pagare contracts
  • Cross reference financial documents looking for potential risk factors
  • Packaging potential deals for our investment committee, highlighting strengths and weaknesses using analyses as needed
  • Collaborate with our due diligence and risk teams on Pre-season and In-season processes
  • Calculation , implementation and modification of our proprietary credit scoring models
  • Proactively manage the applicant pipeline while ensuring data accuracy and maintaining all underwriting quality standards
  • Client interaction to clarify all pending committee inquiries and gather additional data for analyses
  • Document with clear and concise notes in every application including all customer correspondence, exceptions to established guidelines and critical account information relating to the final underwriting decision
  • Analyze documentation to assess credit worthiness of potential borrowers and minimize risk
  • Work with our attorneys on public lien filing process on collateral within Peru, executes contracts on preseason while often interacting directly CEO, CFO and Sales team
  • Track Pre-season Promissory note/ Promissory note instruction documents, working directly our attorneys and other team members logistics of retrieval and approval
  • Potentially manage the expansion of our Credit team in Peru to accommodate our quickly growing origination in the region
  • Requirements
  • At least 6 years of experience in Peruvian Banking, Lending or Credit industries
  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Business or related field ·
  • Experience in client-facing role within a fintech or financial services organization a plus
  • Advanced proficiency with excel based analysis ·
  • Strong knowledge of intricacies of Peruvian credit bureaus, collateral lien filings, and background checks ·
  • Experience in managing and expanding a team a plus ·
  • A can-do attitude, strong problem-solving mindset, and strong organizational skills with an outstanding eye for detail and a high degree of accountability ·
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and implement systems to handle workload efficiently ·
  • Strong writing skills and ability to summarize complex financial issues in a clear and concise manner for outside investors · Fluent in Spanish and English (Speak, Read, Write, Finance/Business vocabulary) ·
  • Comfortable with analyzing legal language in contracts in either language ·
  • Comfortable with analyzing financial statements in either language
